Lana Kirk, M.A., M.S., CCC-SLP, CBIS

Lana Kirk is the owner of the practice and is a licensed Speech Language Pathologist. She is duly certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is a holder of the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology. She is a graduate of the Master’s of Science program in Communicative Disorders with a concentration in Speech Language Pathology at the East Tennessee State University. In addition to that, Mrs. Kirk holds a Master’s of Arts degree in linguistics from Saint Petersburg Gertsen Pedagogical University, Russia. She is a passionate and dedicated professional with experience and training in various areas of speech and language deficiencies, who constantly exceeds state and national continuing education requirements. Mrs. Kirk’s clinical specialty is the neurogenic communication disorders, which can be congenital and/or acquired and which result from a wide spectrum of neuropathologies, such as Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Cerebrovascular Incident (CVA or a stroke), Parkinson’s Disease, Neurodevelopmental disorders, Dementia, and other. Mrs. Kirk is a Certified Brain Injury Specialist and can draw on her personal family caregiver experience for an ABI (Acquired Brain Injury) survivor.

Mrs. Kirk has special training in providing services for accent modification. Having lived in the South-Eastern part of the United States and having friends residing in New York, Chicago and the West Coast, as well as having family members from literally all the corners of the world, Lana has a very good understanding of and the familiarity with different types of accents and regional dialects. In fact, during her Speech-Language Pathology career, she had a number of professional consultations with the renowned film and stage dialogue coach, the “Henry Higgins of Hollywood” himself, the late actor Robert Easton.

Stass Kirk, CEA

Stass is the office manager. He has college level training and experience in business administration and rehabilitative duties. His responsibilities include coordination of clinical services and day-to-day practice business management operations. When communicating with clients and other professionals, Stass’s interpersonal style trademarks are compassion, positive outlook and professionalism.
